STUDENT VISAS

Expand your horizons in New Zealand

Undertake international studies in New Zealand via the following:

  • Fee Paying Student Visas

  • Pathway Student Visas

  • Dependent Child Student Visas

Studying in New Zealand has many benefits to students. Qualifications obtained in New Zealand are of a high quality and recognised globally. Students benefit from studying in a beautiful, peaceful and stable country that is welcoming, culturally diverse and tolerant. Students may also work to support their studies and, once graduated, have several visa options available to them to work in New Zealand.

What do you need to know? In order to undertake any study program in New Zealand longer than three months will require an appropriate student visa. As an international student you will require a placement offer or confirmation of enrolment in an approved program; have paid, or be exempt from paying, your tuition fees upfront; hold insurance; and meet maintenance fund requirements. Depending on your circumstances, you maybe eligible for work rights during the currency of your student visa. Domestic students are exempt from paying for public primary and secondary schooling.

What can you do? Do your research to ensure your intended program and educational provider are approved and recognised. As tuition is offered in English you will need to prove your English language ability with your education provider so ensure you meet these requirements before investing much into the process. Working with a licensed immigration adviser ensures visa complications don’t hinder the important investment you are making in your education.
